On Tuesday 20th November, a select few Romulus FC and Heart of England Training learners will be taking to the streets of Birmingham to offer their support for the local homeless community.

Working alongside the Birmingham Homeless Support Team charity, we will be serving hot food and drink between 6pm-7:30pm and giving out various essential items such as toiletries, snacks and blankets.

Graham Deakin, Academy Manager spoke out about the reasons for choosing BHST as their chosen charity of the year saying: ‘From a personal point of view I can’t wait to attend and help out and the lads are really looking forward to it. We as a club want to give something back to the community, I hope that we can continue to grow and build upon our relationship with Birmingham Homeless Support Team by attending future event, fundraising activities and raising awareness.

To show your support for the invaluable work undertaken by BHST head over to their facebook and twitter for updates on their work; alternatively you can make a donation to their cause here.

Along with this, BHST have made an Amazon wishlist which can be found here. The products which are on this wishlist are able to benefit the people the charity work with, and are able to benefit the local community in many ways.
