New Data Protection Legislation – GDPR

As you may already be aware, new GDPR legislation (General Data Protection Regulation) will come into effect on 25th May 2018. This new European legislation will replace the current Data Protection Act 1998. Whilst many of the key principles will remain unchanged the focus of GDPR enhances the rights of privacy for individuals and places more regulations on organisations to be more accountable for data protection.
