QCF/NVQs are a widely recognised route to gaining and maintaining expertise in a particular job role.

QCF/NVQ Level 2

To gain a full certificate or diploma, candidates must complete one mandatory unit and a selection of optional units.

Mandatory unit:

  • Work effectively in your retail team

Examples of optional units:

  • Maximise product sales in a retail environment
  • Prepare products for sale to customers in a retail environment
  • Keep stock on sale at required levels in a retail environment
  • Process cash and credit transactions in a retail environment
  • Improve the customer relationship

QCF/NVQ Level 3

To gain a diploma, candidates must complete one mandatory unit and a selection of optinal units.

Mandatory unit:

  • Work effectively in your retail organisation

Examples of optional units:

  • Improve customer relationship
  • Develop individual retail service opportunities
  • Provide specialist support in helping customers to make purchase in a retail environment
  • Maintain the availability of goods for sale to customers in a retail environment
  • Source required goods and services in a retail environment
  • Help to manage a retail team

If you are 24 or under this course will be fully funded. Starting in August 2013, all 25 year olds (and over) will have to apply for a Advanced Learning Loan. These work similar to Student Loans and you only payback when you’re earning over £21,000 pa. For all the information please visit www.gov.uk/advancedlearningloans.

Eligibility: If you are working over 30 hours per week and do not hold a qualification at or above level 4 you will probably be eligible for funding. For those not eligible for funding we are always happy to provide a competitive quote.

You may be eligible for funding for this QCF/NVQ through the Apprenticeship programmes.
